Our 20th Anniversary Announcement

We are Plan-It Material Handling, Inc. and celebrating our 20th anniversary. A short time ago, in 1998, we began our journey with a combined 58 years of experience in the material handling business. With a preference toward semi and fully automated systems, we saw a window of opportunity in the dollar range of $25,000 to $1,000,000 dollars, where large companies with high overhead could not be competitive and small companies only had limited experience and lacked the wherewithal to offer solutions to complex handling or storage problems. We are able to evaluate the many options and find the best one for the money, ease of maintenance, quality and durability.

We have had many projects in that dollar range, and although several have been extremely challenging, we have always fulfilled our goal of maintaining customer satisfaction and provided a system that worked as promised. We look forward to many more.

With “systems” as our specialty, we still consider the basic material handling equipment to be our bread and butter and main source of revenue. We really thrive on modifying and adding devices to standard equipment like hydraulic lift tables and all types of conveyors to provide an end product that can’t be found in any catalog. With our combined experience and insight, along with Bob’s AutoCAD expertise and understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, controls and wiring details, we offer our customers a broad range of options when selecting the final design of that piece, or pieces of equipment.

Additionally, if installation of the equipment is required, we provide it, and we are always present to assure that everything goes as planned from start to finish.

We have taken many pictures and some videos of the equipment we have fabricated or had manufactured for us by the 150 plus suppliers we represent. We would like to think these suppliers are the best in their fields of expertise. A sampling of these photos and videos are shown in the “LINKS” heading at the bottom of our website.

We have included photos and several videos of a fully automated $2,400,000 carpet roll handling system which we finished installing last year. We worked closely with the customer in Dalton, GA during the initial design phase and through the final run-off of the last portion of the 3,600 ft. long system, of which 3,200 ft. are structurally supported to an elevation of 15 ft. above the floor. It took almost two years from start to finish.

We look forward to working with that customer on future jobs, as they have requested. We will also be working with other loyal customers to help with their upcoming projects. We would like to think we have a mutual trust with all of our customers and will go out of our way to help as much as possible. We pride ourselves on our excellent relationships with all of them and value each as individuals as well as clients.
